Der heutige 22.05.2011 sollte ganz im Zeichen der Stadtrundfahrten stehen…
Zuerst einmal ging es mit einer der vielen Busunternehmen auf Stadtrundfahrt und danach auch gleich noch auf eine Bootstour, die im Preis mit dabei war
Da die Bootstour (natürlich) am Hafen gestartet und geendet hat, sind wir danach gleich in das New England Aquarium. Im Inneren ist die Anlage recht interessant aufgebaut. Man läuft praktisch in einer Runde immer weiter nach oben (kennt man ja von Parkhäusern) und im Mittelbereich gibt es einen großen Wassertank, der sich über die gesamte Gebäudehöhe streckt, während an den äußeren Seiten kleine Aquarien mit verschiedenen Tierarten befinden.
Auf Bilder verzichte ich an dieser Stelle mal, denn die interessantesten Tierarten kann man sich auf der Homepage des Aquariums ansehen und außerdem ist der Großteil der Bilder eh unscharf geworden. Dunkle Räume mit sich ständig bewegenden “Zielobjekten” vertragen sich nicht besonders gut. Von der Verzerrung durch die Glasscheiben ganz zu schweigen
Wir schreiben den 21. Mai 2011 und die lange Fahrt geht weiter. Nachdem wir am vorgestern bereits 250 km und gestern 400 km gefahren waren, stand nun das vorerst letzte große Stück mit 360 km auf dem Plan.
Nachdem wir dann unser Zimmer im Fairfield Inn bezogen hatten, wollten wir noch ein bisschen zum Geocaching gehen, was aber nicht sehr erfolgreich war. Unser GPSr leitete uns querfeldein auf einen ziemlich steilen Berg hoch, von dem man aber wenigstens einen schönen Blick auf Boston hatte.
Da es aber recht warm war, wir natürlich nix zu trinken dabei hatten und die Laune durch den Querfeldein-Marsch auch nicht die beste war, ging es dann recht bald wieder zum Hotel zurück. Unterwegs haben wir aber dann wenigstens wieder ein lustiges Kennzeichen gesehen
