Anfang Mai war ich mit drei Ex-Kollegen/Bekannten für ein paar Tage in Südtirol unterwegs.

Nachdem wir am Mittwoch in Österreich in der Nähe von St. Johann bei einem der Bekannten übernachtet hatten, ging es am nächsten Tag weiter nach Italien, in das kleine Örtchen Algund nahe Meran, wo wir in der Pension An der Leit eincheckten. Da wir auf gut Glück hingefahren waren und nix gebucht hatten, hatten wir etwas Glück, dass noch zwei Zimmer frei waren.
Ein kleiner Hinweis, der evtl. zu Problemen bei euch führen könnte (was ich aber natürlich nicht hoffe). Ich habe eben mal wagemutig auf die aktuelle Test-Version von Version 2.0 des Weblog-Systems aktualisiert.
Ich hoffe zwar, dass alles so weiter läuft wie bisher, aber falls euch irgendwo etwas auffallen sollte, einfach einen Kommentar an mich, dann schau ich mir das an und leite es ggf. an die Programmierer weiter.
Nachdem wir gestern aus dem Urlaub zurück kamen (Bericht folgt), hatte ich heute meinen ersten Tag in der neuen Firma.
Falls es jemand noch nicht wusste (im Blog habe ich es m. W. bisher nicht kundgetan): Ich habe zum 15.5.2014 in meiner alten Firma gekündigt um eine neue Stelle in Weimar anzunehmen. Da es sich bei dem Unternehmen um einen Mitbewerber in der Branche handelt und meine Stellenbeschreibung nahezu identisch mit dem war, das ich bisher auch gemacht habe, hoffe ich, dass sich die Einarbeitungszeit in Grenzen hält und weder mein neuer Arbeitgeber noch ich die Zusammenarbeit bereut.
Wirklich viel lief heute natürlich noch nicht. Ich hab eine kurze Einweisung in die EDV-Struktur bekommen nebst Netzwerk-Zugang und eine Vorstellung bei allen Mitarbeitern der Firma. Totale Reizüberflutung, wenn man durch 30 Zimmer mit 50 Leuten geht und jedem vorgestellt wird. Ich hoffe, ich komme in den nächsten Wochen/Monaten einigermaßen zurecht, denn ich habe anerkanntermaßen ein sehr bescheidenes Namensgedächtnis. Immerhin haben die meisten Kollegen ein Foto im Intranet, so dass man zu den meisten Namen auch ein Gesicht hat, falls man mal zu jemandem muss.
Mal sehen, wie sich alles in den nächsten Monaten entwickelt.
Nach dem Aufstehen gingen wir erstmal ins Tick Tock, um zu frühstücken…
…was man aber gar nicht empfehlen kann. Das Herzhafte wurde einfach auf das Süße drauf geklatscht, wodurch es einen seltsamen Mischgeschmack gab. Anja meinte, das wäre typisch amerikanisch, schmecken tut es trotzdem nicht.
Danach machten wir uns ans Packen und auf den Weg zum Flughafen. Wir hatten zwar eigentlich genug Zeit eingeplant, aber die Zollkontrolle am JFK dauerte dann ohne Gepäckabgabe gefühlt 90 Minuten, so dass das Boarding schon vorbei war, als wir an Bord gingen. Da muss Barack wirklich noch einiges ändern/verbessern.
Der Flug nach Deutschland war dann relativ unspektakulär. Schlafen ging wie üblich nicht und deshalb hab ich mich durch das Film-Programm gekämpft. Wie am Hinflug war die Auswahl allerdings überschaubar und so behalf ich mir die letzten 90 Minuten mit alten Folgen von How I met your mother und anderen Serien.
Der Zoll in Deutschland arbeitete dann mit gewohnter Professionalität, so dass es praktisch keine Wartezeiten bei der Einreise gab. Zum Zug mussten wir aber doch einige Spurts einlegen um ihn nicht zu verpassen, denn die nächste Verbindung wäre sonst erst zwei Stunden später gegangen.
Hat aber alles gut geklappt und so waren wir um kurz nach 10 Uhr bereits wieder in unserer Wohnung in Erfurt.
