                <p>Eigentlich verwende ich privat schon seit langem &#8211; es dürften inzwischen 19 Jahre sein als ich erst auf Linux und vor 12 Jahren auf den Mac gewechselt bin &#8211; OpenOffice bzw. dann LibreOffice. Wirklich warm geworden bin ich damit nie. Lag vermutlich auch daran, dass ich es privat auch nur selten benötige, im Gegensatz zu Microsoft Office im Büro.</p>

<p>Im Januar hatte ich mir dann doch mal ein Jahresabo für MS Office gekauft weil ich dachte, ich würde damit mehr machen. Aber das hat sich dann doch irgendwie nicht bestätigt. Zum einen mache ich mit <span class="caps">MSO</span> genauso wenig, wie mit LO und zum anderen war immer das schlechte Gefühl dabei, sich wieder ein Abo ans Bein zu binden, von dem man dann aus Bequemlichkeit nicht mehr weg kommt.</p>

<p>Daher bin ich vor ein paar Tagen dann den Schritt zurück gegangen und habe <span class="caps">MSO</span> wieder gelöscht. Die wenigen Dokumente, die ich bisher in <span class="caps">MSO</span> (eigentlich nur Excel) gemacht hatte, kann ich mehr oder weniger ohne Verlust auch wieder in LO nutzen. Wobei man da auch erwähnen muss, dass der Funktionsumfang von <span class="caps">MSO</span> am Mac deutlich geringer ist als unter Windows. Von dem her ist da auch kein großer Verlust im Komfort. 🤷‍♂️</p>

<p>Mal sehen, was ich sonst noch ändere. Früher hatte ich ja z.B. KeePassX, bin aber da auch seit einigen Jahren in einem 1password-Abo &#8220;gefangen&#8221;. Hier fällt mir die Rückkehr zu Open Source allerdings aufgrund des Komforts von 1password noch viel schwerer. 😑</p>

<p>Zu 1Password. Habe ich früher genutzt. Nachdem sie immer mehr online gingen und ich meine Passwortdatei schwerer selbst hosten konnte habe ich mir Strongbox für den Mac/iOS zugelegt. Vorteil: Auch diese App verwaltet Keepass Dateien. Damit bleibe ich offen, kann die Dateien selbst synchronisieren (z.B. über Nextcloud). Ja, es ist ein wenig eine Einschränkung, aber das automatische Ausfüllen funktioniert auch gut. Allein die Erfassung eines neuen Passworts muss man händisch machen, aber das passiert bei eh nicht alle Tage. <br />
MS Office grundelt bei mir auch noch herum. Aber wenn ich ehrlich bin erstelle ich kaum privat Word- oder Excel-Dokumente. Heutzutage schreibe ich meistens eine Mail. Und wenn notwendig könnte ich zB über Typora und Co ein Markdown Dokument erstellen und dann (Pandoc installiert) ein Word-Doc daraus machen. Mehr Formatierung ist meistens eh nicht notwendig. Und wie du schreibst, dann ist Libre Office für den Einzelfall noch immer eine Alternative.</p>
